1928

Ali Raif Bey founds Ali Raif ve Şeriki in Istanbul.
1930

The company continues to operate in trade, engineering and mining.
1950

The second generation enters the pharmaceutical industry and the company’s premises in Ortaköy is allocated to the pharmaceuticals business.
1963

Muzaffer Turhan reorganizes Ali Raif ve Şeriki to operate exclusively in the pharmaceutical industry.
1964

First drug license is obtained and production starts.
1966

Ali Raif and G.D. Searle, LLC join efforts to develop Turkey’s first birth control pill, intrauterine device and fertility products.
1972

Ali Raif, in cooperation with the license holder, starts manufacturing and marketing products of the sulphonylurea group in the field of diabetes.
1982

The third generation takes the helm.
1983

Ali Raif gets renamed to Ali Raif İlaç Sanayi A.Ş.
1986

First finished product is imported. Work begins sales and marketing of Turkey’s first anti-reflux agent.
1989

A professional CEO and board structure, as well as a new administrative model, are adopted for the purpose of institutionalization. Work begins sales and marketing of Turkey’s first medical toothpaste.
1990

Ali Raif İlaç adopts the caduceus as its logo and obtains the first equivalent product license with an in-house formula.
1991

Ali Raif İlaç and Dr. Falk Pharma GmbH join efforts to develop a treatment for ulcerative colitis in Turkey.
1999

Construction of the factory in Istanbul İkitelli Organized Industrial Zone is completed, and the head office and the production group are moved into the modern manufacturing facilities.
2003

Under the helm of the fourth generation, Ali Raif İlaç adopts the new “aris” logo and exports its first products to the EU.
2009

The head office is moved to 4. Levent and the factory’s production capacity is increased. Ali Raif İlaç Sanayi A.Ş. ranks 258th among Turkey’s 500 largest companies compiled by Fortune Turkey magazine.
2010

Ali Raif İlaç signs the United Nations Global Compact.
2013

Our manufacturing facility passes the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and the OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series and the inspections of the company are completed successfully in the subsequent year.
2016

After engaging in research and development activities for years, our R&D department is granted the status of an R&D Center upon the approval of the Ministry of Industry and Technology. Ali Raif İlaç applies to the Ministry of Industry and Technology and obtains the status of an R&D Center on January 12, 2017.
2017

Ali Raif İlaç continues to be one of the leading companies in the industry with a diverse range of more than 200 pharmaceutical products.
2018

Already experienced in the field of sweeteners and medical toothpaste, our team adds health products such as medical devices and supplementary products to its portfolio, and starts to work with the team of Aris Life.
2019

Ali Raif İlaç received the “Respect for People Award” that recognize successful HR recruitment processes. In the Turkishtime R&D 250 Report, Ali Raif was ranked in the top 7 in the sector in terms of female employment in the R&D center.
2021

Ali Raif Pharmaceuticals Breaks Ground for Its New Production Facility in İkitelli
